✅ Check the simple stuff first
  1. Make sure the patient is safe — swap in a backup unit if you need to.
  2. Reproduce the complaint yourself and write down exactly what you see (screen, alarm, code).
  3. Check power, battery, cables, accessories, and settings before ordering parts.
  4. Then open the service manual above and follow its troubleshooting section.
🛠️ Common faults for ePM Series (6)

ECG lead-off or noisy trace source ↗

  • Check electrode contact and leadwire-to-adapter connections
  • 'ECG Signal Invalid' = high skin impedance: re-prep skin

SpO2 'No Sensor' / 'Sensor Off' source ↗

  • Check extension cable at module and sensor-to-cable joint
  • Replace sensor; use only specified sensors

NIBP leak / timeout source ↗

  • Use correct cuff size for patient category
  • Inspect cuff, hose and pump for leaks; run NIBP leakage test
  • Timeout limit 120 s adult/ped, 90 s neo

Battery / power alarms source ↗

  • Charge on external power
  • 'Battery Error', 'Power Board Comm Error' or supply voltage alarms: restart, then service

Recorder problems source ↗

  • Out of paper/door open, head hot: let cool
  • Init/comm error: restart then service

Network: No CMS / IP conflict source ↗

  • Check LAN/WLAN cabling and IP settings
