- Make sure the patient is safe — swap in a backup unit if you need to.
- Reproduce the complaint yourself and write down exactly what you see (screen, alarm, code).
- Check power, battery, cables, accessories, and settings before ordering parts.
- Then open the service manual above and follow its troubleshooting section.

- Isolate controls: try paddles vs. pads vs. front-panel buttons
- Check pad/paddle contact and cables (impedance disarm)
- Check battery / run on AC; slow charge often = battery
- Read stored failure codes in service mode before replacing therapy module
