Stuck? Start here

✅ Check the simple stuff first
  1. Make sure the patient is safe — swap in a backup unit if you need to.
  2. Reproduce the complaint yourself and write down exactly what you see (screen, alarm, code).
  3. Check power, battery, cables, accessories, and settings before ordering parts.
  4. Then open the service manual above and follow its troubleshooting section.
🛠️ Common faults for CURLIN 6000 (7)

AIR IN LINE source ↗

  • Check AIR SENS setting (2 mL with no filter)
  • Remove air from set/bag; disconnect from patient before priming

DOWN OCCLUSION source ↗

  • Check set from pump to patient: kinks, blocked filter, access patency
  • Consider down-occlusion setting Low→High
  • If door opened to clear: PAUSE → RESUME → RUN

UP OCCLUSION / HIGH UP PRESSURE source ↗

  • Check set between bag and pump; open clamps
  • High up pressure: relieve pressure on the IV bag

REPLACE SET 3 / REPLACE SET 4 / SET NOT INSTALLED source ↗

  • Replace and prime set
  • Set 4: open all clamps, relieve pressure, open/close door
  • Reinstall set correctly

EMPTY BATTERY / LOW MOTOR SUPPLY / MOTOR STALLED source ↗

  • Replace both C-cells or connect AC adapter; recharge battery pack
  • Solid tone + blank screen + red light = batteries dislodged/dead

SYSTEM TIMEOUT source ↗

  • Empty internal lithium battery: send to Moog/licensed service

Any numeric error code source ↗

  • Power off/on; if pump passes start-up tests resume
  • If it recurs, replace pump and report the code

🧰 Common checks for Infusion Pumps (5)

Occlusion source ↗

  • Check for closed clamps/stopcocks, kinks, IV site patency
  • Check pump height vs patient (LVP)

Air-in-line source ↗

  • Look for small bubbles; disconnect and re-prime

Door/cassette/syringe loading source ↗

  • Close door with set seated; check syringe clamp, flange and plunger holders

Battery/AC source ↗

  • Run on AC; replace/maintain battery; battery service alarms → repair
